I’m sitting here looking at my life and thankful for the gifts you gave me
Watching your son suffer and die, just to save me
I’ve known that my whole life but I never knew
That our relationship was founded on blood from you
Sometimes I may do things that I know are wrong
Asking for forgiveness as I go along
Acting like life is another game
Until I’m faced with the demons trying to control my brain
They stand strong and I know I cannot hide
So I face them knowing that your on my side
I pray tonight for guidance, that I will do what is right
and the strength to leave the shadow and enter the light
So I end my night wanting to praise you

I thank you for the gift bestowed upon me
and I can tell and see that you really do want me!
But you shun me and let me see all of the rain
in the storm that’s pain cause the rainbows faint.
So I ask was it me or is it just the plan
That you laid out for me to become a better man.

Than to follow satan and listen to his lies.
So through moonlight sunlight clouds and the rain.
