When it comes to website design you need to pay attention to the basics when you are getting started online. Don’t think about all the steps … just focus on the next step in front of you.
The first thing that you will need is a domain. (If you need some assistance, check out this blog post.)
You can setup an account and grab a domain with HostYak. This will cost you $9.99 (and another $1 or so for ICANN fees taxes and all that boring stuff.)
Now that we have the domain covered, the next thing you will need is hosting.
After you click on the link to sign up for hosting. You will need to click on “Business Hosting”. This will start the checkout process for what I believe is the best shared-hosting provider on the planet.
I recommend either the “Power” or the “Pro” package.
The “Power” package will cover support for up to 6 websites. This will cost you about $9.99/month.
The “Pro” plan is what I personally use. It comes with “Unlimited” supported websites. While it is “shared-hosting” you do share resources with other customers. So keep in mind it does say that they offer “Unlimited” bandwidth, but, if you become the amazing business we both know you will, you will need to upgrade to a VPS or Virtual Private Server. But, we got some work to put in before we reach that point.
So, decide what package you want to use. If you feel like you need to use the “Launch” plan then by all means … go right ahead.
Now you need to decide on a WordPress theme.

The next thing is WordPress Plugins … You can find the plugins I use and recommend here.
Now, all you need to do is build your site.
